It's not me, it's the B.

Did I just gone hiatus for 2 months? O_______o

Dear bloggie, I’m so sorry for abandoning you for such a long time. It’s not that I don’t love you, but I don’t even have time for myself, put the blame on the boss!

In case you haven’t known yet, I left my previous skincare company and joined an interactive design agency. I loved working at my previous company; I love what I did there and the colleagues. But life goes on, everyone has to look forward for a better future. Contrary to everyone’s believe, sometimes it’s not all about the passion, it's the MONEY that counts $$$ding ding ding$$$

But with great power, comes great responsibility. I thought the workload I had at my previous company was heavy enough, but my present company is even crazier. At least I had longer dead line back then, but now…I’m challenged to finish 3-4 jobs in ONE day. Sometimes I’m required to stay back late in the office, but luckily I have a bunch of crazy and fun colleagues to work with. Though I’m the only girl here =___________________=

But I think I mix well with boys better than girls, because they’re more carefree, less sensitive and as a girl, I can take advantage =P I can always ask them to do things for me and they can’t say no. Nyek! Nyek! Nyek! Talking about that, I think I have more guy friends than girl friends O______o Can you imagine during my wedding day, my future husband comes banging the door with his buddies and going to have the shock of their lives to see all guys wearing skirts asking for ang pao?

I had a very interesting weekend with my colleagues last week. 3 programmers and 2 designers wacked a Porsche and Bentley with our boss to Penang for an event called 7aste, co-managed by our company together with Scenique, an event coordinating company. Before I tell you about the highlight of this working trip, let me show you some of the pictures taken with my ex college mate cum ex boyfriend but present colleague cum best buddy, Alvin Ho’s Blackberry. I know, it's complicated.

The event was held at 32 at the Mansion, somewhere around Gurney facing the beach.

Since Mild Seven is not legal to do an event to create awareness because it's a cigarette brand and everyone know it's a taboo in Malaysia, so they used the name 7aste instead.

DJ stage.
The interactive casino games done by my company's programmers and web designers. I did the backdrop design since I'm based in graphic. All managed by using touch screen.

Everyone trying their luck to win prizes like iPod Shuffle, iPod Touch and most of all, the star of the night, the one and only iPad!

So if you guys want to win these seductive prizes too, come join us on 8 October 2010 at Ecoba for our last stop =) Free flow of alcohol, great music, games and prizes! Just register as 7aste member here.

Me and my sweaty colleague, programmer Clarence, standing in front of the air cooler blasting in full speed while keeping the games system in check.

The event ended around 12am without any major dramas and fight *cis!* I waited all night for someone to throw a fist on someone's face but I got disappointed. We started to pack things up right after that and only reached back to our apartment for rest around 3am+ and with our tummies grumbling...we tapao-ed nasi kandar and roti canai. Eating at the break of dawn around 4am, it felt like we were Malays in the midst of buka puasa during the waktu sahur, hahaha!

Stupid monkey Alvin Ho kicked my bed the next morning at 11am. Why couldn't he let me sleep for a little longer! After having a heavy lunch at Chili's, Alvin Ho and I glamorously got into the mega luxurious Bentley and zoom our way back to KL.

Enjoying our life as rich brats for one day, this opportunity doesn't come all the time ;)

Full leather, even the dashboard. All hand made O___o
Classic and elegant looking clock.
The rest of my colleagues at the back driving the gigantic Hyundai Starex with our props, LCDs and monitors.

What was there to do in an expensive car? CAMWHORE!

While enjoying our "rich brats for a day" lives and singing "We Are The Champion" by Queens and laughing at other people's worn out cars...

GONG! GONG! GONG! *shake shake shake* GONG! GONG! GONG! *shake shake shake*

The Bentley suddenly transformed into a massage chair. It shook the juice out of us and made all sorts of funny sound. We couldn't even run more than 50km/h or the whole car would shook like as if it will fall to pieces in the middle of the road. So can you imagine a Bentley rolling like a tortoise at the side of the road? Even a lorry drove passed us and gave us that "WTF" stare. We thought we got a flat tire and decided to make a turn into a small town to check. As we turned, the whole car slanted to one side, screeched and stopped. We got down from the car and saw this...

The whole tire came off from the car!!!! O_____o
With only one nut dangling on the rim and the rest of the nuts all scattered around with the rim cover lying somewhere in the middle of the road.

Thanks to my boss for speeding the car 280km/h the night before, it was so fast the tire came loose and it totally came off when it was our turn driving it back.

It was utterly embarrassed to break down in the middle of the road especially you were driving a Bentley! One minute we were singing "We Are The Champions"...the next thing we know, we were soaking in sweat under the sun with the broken Bentley.

We thought fixing back the tire will solve the problem with kind help from a passerby. But a man riding in a motorbike claimed that the car's bearing was broken and needed to be tolled back. He passed me a namecard and obviously he is a foreman trying to earn some extra money from us seeing we were driving a luxurious car. But too bad, we were just 2 poor kids driving our boss' car. He found the wrong target.

We gave boss a call and he wanted the car to be tolled back to KL. It's totally understandable that he didn't want some strangers to lay hands on his expensive car. But risking our lives in the middle of the road for 3 hours for his friend to come save us from KL is totally unacceptable! We were in the middle of nowhere, stranded at the cornering road with only trees and grass everywhere and a big shining sun above our heads.

Then we saw a PLUS police car coming our way and we flagged them down. They must be God sent! They set up cones and lights to alert other cars, fixed back the tire on the car and called someone to toll the car straight back to KL! We didn’t know that Malaysia still have some hopeful police T___T

We thought we would have a comforting ride back to KL in the Bentley with air conditioner and “auto cruise” from the toll truck. But I wonder what karma did to us, the air conditioner went warm after 5 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!! We winded down the window to have some air outside coming in, though we had to bare with the noise and smoke outside, but at least we felt a bit airy. Then it rained =____________________________________=
WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THIS?!!!!!
Ever since then, I don’t have good feelings with Bentley anymore.

In case you didn’t know, the Bentley I cursed in this whole post is worth RM 1.5 million. KA-CHING! $$$$$$
