If you have been following my blog, I like to try out new beauty products especially skincare. Previously I blogged about my beauty regime and found out I actually apply 10 skincare products on my face everyday! Now make it 11! Because I have another addition to the family! I was super excited when Kose invited me to the workshop of their new Sekkisei Lotion! Which beauty junkie won't get high when they are invited to beauty workshop?!

I was allowed to bring 2 friends, so the first 2 person who came to my mind were Sharon and Kelle. But Sharon decided to dump me last minute *death stare* So it was just me and Kelle!

We were given some explanations about the importance of skincare and introduction to KOSE products by their trainer. 

Do not disturb me!  I'm trying very hard to take in all the information!

And finally the workshop started! *rub hands*

The trainer instructed us to take a cherry size of cleansing cream from the jar. I think we were too kiasu and took a durian size instead. We ended up with too much cleansing cream on our face, we looked like birthday cakes with too much icing LOL!

We were told that emulsion is a softer option of toner. Most toner contains alcohol and it will thin our skin!

Pour the Sekkisei lotion into the cap and dunk a tablet mask inside.

The tablet mask will rise up after absorbing all the lotion!

After removal of the mask, my skin felt instantly fairer! For real! And it was smoother and firmer! Love the cooling feeling too!

Tried KOSE lotion mask again the next day. I could see a huge difference on my eye area! It was instantly brighten and didn't look so tiring! The Battle of Sleeping Masks.

Have you ever fell asleep while doing mask? Do you know it's not advisable to sleep with the mask on because the sheet mask will retract all the goodness that has been absorbed by your skin? If you have this habit, then I suggest you to stock in sleeping mask. Whoever that invented sleeping mask, I worship you! Thank you for your life saving invention! So when you are lazy but yet you want to nourish your skin, slap on sleeping mask!

Here are the sleeping masks that I've tried and lets see how good they are!

ETUDE HOUSE BLENDING SLEEPING CREAM

I super love this packaging. Basically I got suck in by this product because of the packaging, and so I bought the whole range =_= Look at all the colors! Who can resist?!

And it's the shape of a spoon! How cute!

Break the handle of the spoon to stir the mask.

DIAMOND INTEREST SNAIL AQUA SLEEP CREAM

I love the convenience of this air pump jar. It's more hygienic and convenient. Instead of dipping your fingers into the jar for the mask, you just press the top of the jar to dispense the amount of mask that you need. No transferring any bacteria from your finger into the mask!

LANEIGE FIRMING SLEEPING PACK

The texture of this mask is like cream gel. But the magic of it is when you dig out a small portion of the mask from the jar, you can see the mask slowly go back to the original smooth state. Once you apply the cream gel mask onto your skin, it melts like ice-cream! It become watery and easily absorbed into the skin.

My verdict?

EGF Facial Mask.

Everyone knows that Korean girls have the perfect porcelain skin (besides their cosmetic surgery, of course). While I was vacationing at Korea, I got to know that Korean girls have EGF injected into their skin for that smooth and youthful skin.

What is EGF? EGF stands for Epidermal Growth Factor. It's a growth factor that stimulates cell growth, proliferation and differentiation by binding to its recepor EGFR. (source from Wikipedia).

If you can't afford EGF injection (so am I), fret not! Here comes the EGF mask to the rescue, from Holika Holika!

This sheet mask is a little different from other ordinary mask. While other sheet mask can only be applied on your face for 15-20 minutes, this EGF mask can go up to 45 minutes! Longer time to absorb all the goodness! Great for kiamsiap people like me who doesn't want to waste a drop of essence in the mask. Besides, this mask does not drip like others, hence you won't have essence dripping on your neck.

APPLICATION

After 15 minutes, you will feel the mask getting tighter on your skin, it feels totally like a second skin!

REMOVAL

After 45 minutes, remove the mask and you'll be amazed by the lines on the mask! Those are the fine lines on my skin OMFG! It showed how close the mask could get to the skin without the uncomfortable tight feeling.

RESULTS

Skin felt so much smoother and tighten. The photo below was taken right after the removal of the mask. No photoshop on any area. I was quite amazed by the result especially the eye areas, I don't look so tired anymore with dark eye circles. The mask really rejuvenated my skin.

My verdict?

My Beauty Regime.

I have been receiving compliments about my complexion lately. Trust me, I had my fair share of skin problems few years back. I used to have white heads, black heads and pimples all over my face. There was once I had severe skin sensitive, my face became reddish and white bumps filled with puss conquered all over my face! It was so itchy and painful because it was inflamed! It was then I started going for facials and invest in high end skincare products. Now I live by the mantra, "Cheap no good, good no cheap".

I would say my sister played a big part influencing me about skincare. She told me to start using anti-ageing products earlier, better to prevent than cure! She started using anti-ageing products in her early twenties!

Now I managed to maintain my skin condition, with the occasional pimples. My skin still tend to get oily by mid day. But thank goodness I have no sign of wrinkles and fine lines *touchwood*. There are only 1-2 tiny brown spots on my cheek.

So here is my skincare regime that helps to maintain my skin condition.

DAY TIME

My skin is considered oily and living in such humid country, I prefer to put lesser skincare products during the day to avoid my skin from looking like a frying wok.

Some people skip this step. They said they already wash their face, what's the point of toning. Trust me, toner makes a lot of difference. Just tone!

I can't live without this product. If they decide to discontinue this, I think I shall discontinue myself from living as well. This product helps to control my white heads, black heads and all the imperfection. This works wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than many many many many many many other high end brands that swear to control oil secretion. I swear by this product!

Even oily skin needs moisturizing. Just opt for a lightweight moisturiser like gel.

At my age now, eye care is very crucial! It's either you make it or break it by the time you hit 30!

Living at such hot country where the sun shines bright like a diamond, UV ray plays a huge part at skin darkening and aging. You won't see it now, but few years down the road you will see brown spots, wrinkles, fine lines and uneven skin tone, all thanks to the sun! So shield it like it's your precious!

NIGHT TIME

At night, it is when your skin rejuvenates itself and your cell renewal is at the most active period too. It is vital to apply all the necessities before you sleep so your skin can drink up all the nutrients while you sleep. Sleeping in air conditioned room, I opt for heavier skincare product.

Same, tone tone and tone.

Applying a pre essence boosts everything you apply afterwards by triple!

I put on this for the sake of finishing it. I seriously don't think it does any difference to my skin.

Like the rest of your face, your eyes need the TLC too. Your face deserves some serum, so are your lovely eyes!

I apply both of this together, they are called SUPER SERUM when combined together. A pump of each and mix well together before applying all over the face. I tend to skip moisturizer if I put these 2 serums.

If I skip the super serum, I will apply anti-ageing moisturiser.

Of course, eye care! I use the same eye care I put during the day.

If I have pimples, spots or pimple scars, I will apply these little helpers.

Pffftttt.....! Imagine I need to slap almost 10 products on my skin every night!!!! It's so tiring to be a woman!
