The little details.

This post will be the last post about my wedding. You guys might be sick reading about my wedding details already XD Everyone has been asking me the same question every time I meet them. How's married life? I kept quiet for a while and think....nothing is different. Since I've moved in with the husband (then boyfriend) almost a year ago, all the dramas and issues have been resolved. So practically there is not much difference. The only different is instead of calling Aunty and Uncle, now I need to call his parents mom and dad. It feels super awkward, trust me =_= I've been calling the same 2 person as mom and dad for my whole life, but now I need to call another 2 person that I've known for a few years as mom and dad. Very very awkward.

Anyway, here are the little details of my wedding. Sometimes it's not all about the big hoo-haa, but the small little details that matters most. There are like the small pieces of puzzles that put the whole big picture together.

Puffy and dreamy princess wedding gown.

With a Swavroski crystals belt.

I don't think I can ever find another dress as perfect as this. I love things to be simple. This gown truly represents me, from top to toe. Simple on the top to accentuate my busty top, and princessy puffy bottom with layers and layers of chiffon and tulle for that elegant diva in me. And also a belt with Swavroski crystals. I injected more elements that represents me with a pink ribbon. Ya, how can I get married without something pink!

Love.

Christy Ng's True Love wedding heels. Customized with Swavroski crystals.

Tiara, loan from the husband's shop. I wonder why he has a tiara in his premium shop =_=

Swavroski crystals necklace from Candore. Swavroski crystals earring, a gift from Hooi =)

As mentioned above, I like things to be simple. So initially I wanted French Manicure. But I thought during normal days I can do French Manicure too. For special occasion like my wedding, I should go for something more exquisite. So I did acrylic nail extensions!

Pink nails with colorful glitter tips, added a 3D ribbon on the wedding ring finger.

I always wanted pink daisies for my wedding =) Because roses are too common.

I would prefer the daisies to have less color combination, maybe even just tie the daisies together without the purple, red and green, more pink. Let me repeat, simplicity is my core. But it ended up looking great at the condo I was staying because the walls are purple =D

Finally the rings are taken professionally with canggih camera! Remember Fuankee said I didn't do any justice to the sparkle of the diamonds =_=

I'm a happy bride.

Love this picture so much! Taken by my make up artist. I looked like one of those photo
of some Taiwanese celebrity getting married that I saw in the news. LOL!

Was quite sad that no photos were taken for the back of my dinner dress. It has a long train with different layers, very ethereal. I really love it. Simple, elegant and nothing OTT. Unlike some puffy dinner gowns I saw that look like layer cakes with multiple tiers in blue or green (wtf! like pandan cake). Even worst, they have flowers all over it. Yikes!

This is the only photo I have of the back of the dress. Taken during the gown testing session.

As for the wedding invitation, Delicious Group compensate on the reprint so I decided to go all out and used all sorts of finishing and expensive paper material XD It won't be mine if I didn't add some DIY to it. Spent the whole night sitting on the floor tying the 2 cards together with white ribbon. And yes, the rings are illustrated according to our wedding rings!

Quartz or better known as pearl paper with silver hot stamping and round corner .

Embossed effect on the rings with a bedazzle on it to represent the diamond, for
a more realistic look.

Added more originality to the card with our wedding cartoon.

Even more silver hot stamping inside. Love the pink side. It's so Barbie =D

Check out the DIY stamp on the envelope!

And the sticker to seal the envelope. Cuteness max!

And I really want to thank each and everyone who showered us with wedding gifts. I find that very thoughtful and lovely, for sharing the happiness and bliss of our marriage. Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart.

Wedding heels, from Sharon and Fuankee.

Swavroski crystals earring from Hooi dear. Necklace and tiara are my own.

Illustration of us by my sis with cotton and sequins heart, we share that same artistic talent ;)

Lastly, this wonderful wedding cake from bestie, her mom and the boyfriend.
This is the best gift, ever.

Until now, I still feel blissful listening to the song "A Thousand Years". I know, I know, I know many of you find this song is so overused and mainstream. Blame it on Twilight =_= I think Reuben and Fann have nightmares with this song already since they did my wedding video with this song. When I told them I'm using it for my wedding entrance too, their first word was "AGAIN?!" LMAO!

But I have a different feeling with it, I don't know why. The corner of my lips will curl up itself and a sense of sweetness overshadows my heart whenever I hear this song. I love the part she sings "I have died everyday waiting for you", it feels like I can truly relate myself to it. Not because I'm a vampire, obviously. It's because I had my heart broken countless times with all the failed relationships previously, got treated like someone who doesn't deserve anything good and dumped like I have no feelings. I was at the brink of giving up on love. And then that was when he found me. So it really felt like I have gone through rain and storm (that's why "I have died everyday waiting for you") and I finally found you, the one that I can truly bare my soul to *tears*

That is one of the reason why I used the song for my wedding entrance. And hence the candles lighting during the march, just like the music video.

After months of preparation and a lifetime of anticipation, 2 of the most biggest events of my life are done. Sharon asked if I feel heavy hearted and want it to happen all over again. I said no, because it all happened so perfectly, with all the beautiful memories, I could not ask for more. It has been a great experience, and it's certainly the most beautiful and sweet moment in my life. Thanks to my family and close friends for making it happen. Your love and blessings are the greatest gift of all.

Now....

It's time to prepare for the trip of my life.

HONEYMOON!!!!!!!!!!!!
