My pre wedding photoshoot was finally done! It was tiring and hot but nonetheless it was FUN! The photographer was quite experimental and he was very funny too, he kept cheering up our spirit since we were quite worn out after parading our OTT outfit under the sun for hours.

The make up artist did such a great job, I love love love the make up she did for me! She was doing my hair while chatting with me, seemed like she wasn't putting much effort. But when she was done and I looked into the mirror, I gasped! I didn't know my hair can be so beautiful!!!!!

She made it seemed so effortless!

WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?!!!!!!!

We had 2 locations for our photoshooting, our first stop was Lake Garden. It's a huge landscape in the middle of the city centre, nearby the Dataran Merdeka. It's a very beautiful garden with many breathtaking photo stops, and most of all the entrance fee is free! Hence many couple opt that place for their pre wedding photoshoot. On that day itself, we saw nearly 10 couples having their wedding photos captured there. It was like "Rombongan Hari Gambar Kahwin" wtf.

I felt so touched looking at myself in the mirror after the make up and hair. She made me looking like a Hong Kong beauty pageant T_T so pretty!!!! *perasan mode on*

After this outfit, we changed to our casual wear, the cartoon t-shirt for the fun theme. Didn't manage to take any pictures with my phone =(

4 hours of photoshooting under the sun, we finally moved to our 2nd location, Sekeping Tenggiri! I was so looking forward to it! The place is beautiful! Especially the glass room that we booked. It's located upstairs and has an open air balcony =)

For the 3rd style, I wore the Princess Barbie pink gown, so I requested for a tiara. I wanted a bigger tiara with white flowers on it but Alvin gave me that urgh face =_= So I chose a medium size one. The make up artist curled my hair to give me a more feminine and princessy look.

Finally the last outfit, my favourite mermaid gown! The make up artist braided my hair and paired with a fascinator for a vintage look.

I love this style the most. Classy and vintage!

By 8pm, it was finally a wrap! We were officially exhausted!!!! After fetching the photographer and make up artist back to My Dream Wedding, we finally had our first proper meal. We sustained the whole day with just bread T_T Since we already booked the glass room in Sekeping Tenggiri, we spent a night there. It's quite an open place so any noise outside it can be heard clearly inside. Being me, a person who can't sleep with noise, I had a restless night despite having a tiring day before that. FML.

That's all for the making of my pre wedding photoshoot! To my friends who will be taking theirs in the future, here are some tips for you:

1. Must bring slipper! You can wear heels for the photos but when you walk to other location, wear slipper! Wearing the gown is tiring enough, you don't want to sore your feet with heels!

2. Drink lots of water to keep yourself hydrated.

3. Face towels because you'll be sweating a bucket!

4. Hand fan or electronic hand fan, you'll need it =_= trust me.

5. Candies and snacks. Just in case you get hungry and the candies are to keep your sugar level well balanced.

6. Mosquito repellent.

7. Umbrella for shade, you can use it as one of the prop too.

8. Sleep well the night before the photoshoot.

9. Have some references ready for your photographer and make up artist. So they know what kind of style you like.

10. Just enjoy the process!

The photoshoot was on Friday and dowry day was on Sunday. We drove back to Ipoh with Alvin's family to send the dowry over. It was the most anxious event in my entire wedding preparation so far. Will blog about it soon.

The day I became Mrs Soi.

The night before my ROM, I couldn't sleep well. My brain couldn't stop thinking about what's going to happen the next day. I woke up at 8 ish the next morning, thank goodness I didn't have puffy eyes and face! Make up, dress up and hair do took me about an hour. With just a small pack of Dutch Lady chocolate milk, I got out to fetch my family from Crystal Crown Hotel to Thean Hou temple.

Still got time to camwhore before heading out!

I guess it was a good day afterall. The registration area was hoarded by loads of people, people mountain people sea! I thought we would need to wait for some time, but the numbers kept going and I had to go in 20 minutes earlier than my scheduled time. Everybody had arrived already, except all my friends =( I WAS SO SAD! The day before I realised I had more than 20 people attending my ROM and I thought it was a little too much for me to handle. But on that day none of my friends were there yet, I got so anxious I started texting my friends to step on their paddle, fast! After we got into the room for our vows, thank God we needed to wait for the registrar. My friends made it before the vows and rings were exchanged *sigh in relief*

After all the procedures were done, we then took photos around the temple under the hot burning sun. Gosh, it was so hot we were sweating like pigs. But better than pouring rain with thunder storm though.

I really wanna thank everyone who came to my ROM, despite the hot weather. It was my day but thank you for enduring the crazy weather and be there to give me your blessings =) And also to those who texted me and sent me their wishes either via Whatsapp, SMS or Facebook. My utter gratitude from the bottom of my heart =)

Finally I can reveal my wedding ring! Solitare 0.3 carat diamond accompanied by a swirl of 16 small diamonds with white gold band. Fuan Kee said why on earth I took photos of the diamond ring with my phone, it doesn't do any justice to the sparkle of the diamond. Ok fine =_= I will take with a proper DSLR with professional lighting props, very soon.

Next week I'll be taking my wedding photoshoot, super anxious! I still haven't finalize my photoshooting location! AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Both families finally have met and THANK GOD everything went well *phew* Will be sending the dowries all the way back to Ipoh 2 days after my photoshoot. Will be updating again =D

Confession of a very emo bride-to-be.

Saw Gan's Dr Dre Beats headphone lying pitifully on his desk while he was away for event so I decided to do him a favor and took it home for safety sake, what if somebody steal it! (actually I just want to use it =P) Stayed home on Friday night to indulge in music with the headphone.

I'm registering my marriage this Sunday, and I wonder if it's the power of Dr Dre Beats headphone or am I experiencing emotional roller coaster, all the songs played in my iPod makes me wanna cry. I did actually. Suddenly I just feel so emotional, it struck me like a flash of light. I have no idea if it's me or it's the bloody headphone.


When Alvin proposed to me, I was over the moon. Making the preparation and planning was so stressfully enjoyable. But now that the date is drawing near, reality suddenly hit me and I came upon to my conscience that I'M REALLY GETTING MARRIED, no shit.  The responsibility, the commitment, the status. Everything is not tied by a string anymore, it's now solid hard and real. I can't cut it off just like that anymore, everything has consequences now.

For 26 years I'm so used to the single status, but now I'm going to be someone's wife, changing my status to married and it will be that way for the rest of my life. From the surface, it looks like it's just a process, no big deal. But emotionally, it's a life changing experience to me. I don't know how to put it in words, the feeling is indescribable.

The songs in my iPod have been with me since my college days. 8 years have passed and I went through so many heartbreaks along the way. Each and every song reminds me of some memories. All the heart wrenching experiences have brought me here today and now, I'm getting married. I wish the people who once hurt me and the people I've once hurt in the past, to lead a happy life. Because...I'm happy now.

Rainbow Color vs Maxim.

I used to wear cosmetic color contact lens. Not because my eyes are small but just plain fatt hao. I wore Geo Lens, it was cheap, comfortable and nice! They have all sorts of colors and patterns! But because this brand is getting more famous and it's not available in Malaysia except online, people came out with imitations and selling them like hot cakes to innocent people, thus injuring their eyes.

Geo Lens is a Korean brand, Malaysia doesn't have license to sell the brand, therefore people are getting the stock from Korea online and selling them online. I got mine online too, just RM25 for a normal pair. But lately pasar malam people are selling them. To my horror, they are now selling 3 pairs for RM25! O___o Do you dare to wear?

I tried FreshLook but because I have big pupil, not all color contact lens are suitable for me. The colored part of the lens blocked my pupil, so my vision was blurred. Sad =( I threw it away.

Lately I bought another pair from Rainbow Color, came upon the brand from Cheeserland, she endorsed the brand. I bought it for my ROM and wedding photoshoot. It looked good on her (judging from her photos). But the color came out too light and again, it blocked my pupil and blurred my vision. NYAHHHH!!!!!!! The color is called Earth Brown, but it looks more like Tangy Orange =__= I looked like one of the Cullens in Twilight.

Here's my verdict:

Rainbow Color contact lens. Selling for RM58 at Sasa.

It looks alright in picture. Trust me, in real life I look like an albino.

BOO!!!

Insist of being vain, I tried my luck and bought another pair from Maxim. Fann showed me the website of her sister's online shop and I saw the choices from Maxim are quite tempting. I bought the color Cocoa and mamamia! Thank God it fits perfectly for my pupil and the color is au naturel. It's not too obvious and doesn't make me look weird. Though it can go a bit lighter but I'm ok with it. It feels like as though I'm not wearing anything!

Here's my verdict:

I bought for RM65 from an optical shop at Ikano.

More natural compared to Rainbow Color.

 My ROM is this Sunday! To be a Mrs in another 3 days. Enjoying my last few days of singlehood. Adios!

I haz red hair.

I went to the salon yesterday to colour my hair. Wanna look vava-voom for my ROM and wedding photoshoot. So I wanted something lighter this time. My hair is probably the most stubborn object on me (besides my blackheads). Whenever I dye my hair the colour has super difficulty to absorb in. As in my hair has it's mind on it's own to block it out. I thought maybe my hair hates goldish brown, so every time I pick that colour, it won't come out.

This time I opted for reddish brown. Red makes skin look healthier and fairer while blonde makes people look pale, especially without make up. After the salon people took off the towel after washing off the hair dye, I was like...

I told the salon guy that I find it too red. He told me the red colour won't stay long. Sooner or later it will fade to orange, and then brown.

Imagine I have orange hair for my wedding photoshoot! THE HORROR!!!! I had fragments of horrible pictures scrolling in my head! GAU MENG AHHHHHHH!!!!!!
